Hitachi Tower

Singapore | Office | 1994

Designed with generous 2.7 metre floor-to-ceiling high offices, both Hitachi Tower and Chevron House have a facade of blue-grey glass and aluminium cladding, but whereas Chevron House has a rounded facade and triangular footprint, Hitachi Tower’s most distinctive features are a curtain wall of articulated panels and a mast equipped with a navigation beacon light.

A four-story high skylit shopping arcade links the 37-storey Hitachi Tower on Collyer Quay to Chevron House on Raffles Place. The arcade follows the path of the former Change Alley, a street where Indian moneychangers ran their businesses.
