Located along Raffles Park in the Central Business District, Singapore Land Tower is a prominent building in Singapore's city landscape. In collaboration with design architect Maki and Associates, the Asset Enhancement Works for the existing 47 storey office tower aims to elevate this landmark to new heights with a timeless design additions and lush green spaces. This includes a privately owned public space (POPS) at the 1st Storey, partially covered by a grand canopy and covered walkway. This vibrant oasis will serve as a gathering spot and a link between the bustling office tower and nearby Raffles Place MRT station. The once dormant and underutilized podium roof will be spiced up with restaurant and office spaces nestled amongst lush greenery and a panoramic viewing deck and gallery offering a bird's-eye-view of the city's every-changing skyline is proposed at the newly added 49th storey. The rejuvenated office building will flaunt a new, timeless facade beneath the proposed office crown.
The project places emphasis on eco-friendly features, such as the introduction of end-of-trip facilities to encourage car-lite practices, low emissivity double-glazed external curtain wall system and additional parking for electric hybrid cars. Efforts are made to enhance inclusiveness and assessibility to the building - once only accessible by stairs, access to the building is now made barrier free.
AEI works commenced since end January 2021 and targets to complete in 2024
